2nd POST ~ Why did I choose my major? ~
The first most important
thing to say it’s that I’m studying Visual Arts… and... ”Why?” Because I’ve always
been in love with drawing, painting, creating things by imagination and all kinds of activity related to those things… that would be all, I’ve never thought something
further than that, I mean... I had had the knowledge about the history of Art and some
artists in general, but that never was my principal motivation to study that. Something I really really wanted to do as a child, was to
be a comic illustrator and do that for a living… but I also always dreamed of
working at a stationery store(? Or an Art store, I think that would be more
accurate, I still think of that as an option because… why not? Heh (I don't have too high goals in general?).
Mmmm…I think if I
hadn't chosen Visual Arts I’d have chosen something like Linguistics because I was in the Literature program (If I may say so) in the last two years of secondary, other options were were Illustration and 2D Animation. And what made me
finally decide for Visual Arts was the feeling of wanting to learn different
things (like engraving) and knowing better how to draw and paint… I just felt like that was the
option that fulfill my needs at that moment. I said “at that moment” because sometimes I think I rather
have chose 2D animation, ultimately I have been more interested on that, but
in my major there’s no assignment that teach that more deeply… but aside from that
and all the things that happened because of the virus, I really like my major
and I think I’v learned a lot of good things, I can say I had a very good experience
until now.
Thanks for reading!:3
The photo shows different tasks I had to do for the "color" class in the first year of my major (2019).
I remember your jobs when you show them to the class in first year, some of those was so beauty
